Dear Parents and Students:

Please read this material and contact the studio with any concerns. Remember that participation in our dance concert is purely optional and is not necessary in order to continue classes. This is an outdoor performance and a whole new experience for the TOCD staff and families. We are planning a professionally produced performance and still afford our clients the comfort level of safety and social distancing.

Beginning in February all recital information can be viewed on our website under the name “recital central”. We urge all first-time participants to view this information at your convenience in order to become familiar with the manner in which our recital is organized and executed. If you have any further concerns, please call either location during office hours or email Christine@tocdance.com.

2021 RECITAL INFORMATION

LOCATION:
Rear of Broomall Studio on Mobile Stage with lights
483 Parkway, Broomall, PA 19008

RECITAL DATES:
Friday, June 4th through Sunday, June 6th
Possible rain dates Monday/Tuesday evenings June 7th, 8th

Please see the files below with the performance date and time for each class. There will be a need for everyone to be flexible as we have built in rain dates should Mother Nature refuse to cooperate.  All weather-related updates will be made on our website, on social media, and through email. Please inform us asap if you have not been receiving our emails as you may have “opted out” in your Parent Portal.

Dancers in each performance will stay in the studio until it is their time to dance and return to the studio until the performance is over. Each performance will be approximately 45 minutes in length.  We are making arrangements with neighboring businesses to be able to use their parking lots for your convenience. All performers must be dropped off at the studio 30 minutes prior to their performance dressed in their costume (or their first costume if performing multiple pieces). All hair and make-up must be done at home.  At this time all attendees and dancers must wear masks!

DRESS REHEARSALS:
Dress Rehearsal will be held on the outdoor stage at TOCD Broomall for all LEVEL 5 and HIGHER classes and TUMBLING CLASSES on Wednesday, June 2nd and Thursday, June 3rd with the schedule to be distributed in February. Dress Rehearsal will be for PERFORMERS ONLY. Dancers will be dropped off and picked up through the front door of the studio.

Dress Rehearsal for younger students will be held during the week of May 10th – 15th during class. Parents will be able to watch a portion of the class on zoom, and the teachers will be able to give all last-minute instructions at that time.

COSTUMES:
Costumes have been sized and ordered. A picture of the class costume will be emailed to you along with details for hair, make-up, tights, and shoes. When the costumes arrive please make sure that you put them away in a safe place. Costumes usually arrive a couple months before our event.

RECITAL FEES/TICKETS:
Each family will be charged a recital fee on March 22nd which includes tickets and the link to the live-streamed event! The link will include all performances of the weekend.

For families with dancers in only ONE performance the fee is $100.00 which includes four tickets plus the live-stream link.

For families with dancers in TWO or more performances the fee is $150.00 which includes four tickets to every show in which they are dancing, plus the live-stream link.

All seats will be set up in pods of four and socially distanced. Seats will be fully sanitized between each performance. Families will be assigned seats in advance. Children under three may attend only if they can sit in a lap, and children will not be allowed away from their parents for safety reasons.

PICTURES and VIDEO:
Pictures and video taken with a cell phone will be allowed since this year parents are not permitted to attend the dress rehearsal where photography is welcome. HOWEVER, all photography must be done seated in place. Standing to take pictures will not be allowed, as this is sure to block another audience member’s view. Everyone’s child is a star the day of the recital, and we want to make sure that everyone enjoys the show without disruptions. A video link of the recital will be offered for sale.
